The links below contain a two-page printable information sheet, in English and Spanish, created by the IRS. The first page contains brief information on privacy and confidentiality, professional service, representation in tax disputes, help with unresolved tax problems, appeals and judicial review and relief from certain penalties and interest. The second page provides information on examinations (audits), the appeals process, collections, refunds and how to obtain general tax information. It is broad, very information and will lead clients to sources of additional information they may need. Also, a good resource to distribute at educational seminars.

You Have Rights As a Taxpayer

This is a folded brochure, created by LASOC, which contains a short summary of the information found in IRS Publication 1. It briefly explains a taxpayer’s rights and what to do if there is a dispute on a tax bill or if a taxpayer needs assistance with a problem with the IRS.
