If you or someone you know have experienced unlawful termination, unpaid wages, or unfair treatment at the workplace, the Workers’ Rights Clinic may be able to help you. To be evaluated for an appointment to the clinic, contact our Hotline.
The Workers’ Rights Clinic* is the product of a partnership between the Legal Aid Society Employment Law Center (LAS-ELC) and the University of California, Irvine School of Law. While hosted in the Santa Ana office of LASOC, the clinic is an elective part of the law school curriculum is supervised by LAS-ELC attorneys. This clinic is designed to see matters of various kinds having to do with employees’ rights. The staff specialize in connecting workers with resources, assisting with paperwork, and sometimes in direct representation.
*Once an applicant’s legal matter has been assessed in our intake process, the advising attorney may recommend a clinic appointment. Clinics are a group setting where eligible clients can be instructed on or assisted with paperwork and given legal advice about their individual legal matter. In some limited circumstances, cases are chosen from clinics for representation. Appointment to this clinic is for eligible LASOC’s Orange County clients only.
