“Let’s Talk About” – Understanding Technology and Digital Evidence

Legal Aid Society of Orange County presents:

Lets Talk About:  Understanding Technology and digital evidence

If you have ever had a question about digital evidence, then this is a class you should not miss!   As Computer data is an ever increasing share of evidence, this presentation will cover the sources of that data and how to properly preserve and collect it, or extract it, combined with a survey of the tools and systems that attorneys use to manage data through the discovery process.  Come hear an expert, and bring your questions.

Speaker will be author Jonathan Karchmer

Mr. Karchmer has over 13 years of experience dealing with computer forensic examinations, ESI collection/processing, hosting, as well as document review and production.  He has advised counsel in engagements regarding intellectual property and trade secret theft, contractual disputes, electronic document production, FTC second requests, due diligence investigations, embezzlement, harassment, illegal surveillance, network attack/incident handling, and network security auditing and has offered sworn testimony in both state and federal courts.

Introduced by Commissioner Richard G. Vogl (Ret.)

(“Lets Talk” is a series of classes sponsored by the Legal Aid Society of Orange County and led by Commissioner Vogl.  This series covers a variety of court issues and is for MCLE credit for lawyers, paralegals, and office staff.)
